Newtown Playgroup on Ruthven has come about by the merging of two long-standing local playgroups (Newtown Playgroup and Ruthven Playgroup).

We provide a fun, casual, safe and welcoming atmosphere for children, parents, grandparents and carers to meet and interact.

We have sessions every day of the week, morning and afternoon (subject to numbers), which are parent-led and open aged with a mix of newborns through to 5 years old and many families with multiple children. Each group is made up of a maximum of 12 families, usually with 1-3 children per family.

Our sessions run all year with many groups choosing to attend over school holidays and public holidays.

New mothers groups in Geelong who are wanting a venue to meet each week are also welcome to book a closed session (subject to numbers and availability).

We are located at 2 Ruthven St, Newtown.
